This Homeless Connect Day was held at Bridge To Home, a Santa Clarita Winter Shelter/ feeding and shower site. All the major providers were there as well as some new ones! West Valley food bank was handing out snacks and there was also a non profit there doing womens make up and hair! It was great to meet the community and to be able to serve. Thanks to our volunteers that show up every month to serve and to bring donations.

This Months Homeless Connect Day was at Our Prince Of Peace in Woodland Hills! LA Family Housing put on a great event with the support of Councilman Bob Blumenfield. We had our set up in the outside courtyard along with other giveaway booths such as Empowered Gifts, Hope Mill, Operation Blankets Of Love and much more. Services and providers inside were Dept. of mental health, Tarzana Treatment Center, Veterans services, youth services, public library, parking ticket resolution, DPSS and much more. We were able to provide so many clothes for the participants that came. One woman just got her housing and was able to take home clothes to put in her new closet. There were some people from the shelter as well. Huge thank you to our volunteers! Anne that runs the hygiene, Christin that helps with bras and underwear, Fancy Nancy and Kristin that brought mens dress shirts and much more, Nikki for separating items before the event, Frazier for help loading/unloading and always helping out, and thanks to everybody else as well! Its a never ending job to keep hanging up clothes throughout the event but such a great feeling to match up the perfect outfit with someone in need. Women were able to take as much feminine hygiene as needed. Such a blessed day. The biggest thanks is to the participants for coming to the event to get services and update their info and of course, for letting us serve them.
